Italian Travel Inspiration for Cowhide Home Décor
I’ve just come back from a holiday in Cortina, Italy. What a beautiful, glamorous place. Gorgeous architecture and even more gorgeous interiors… and cowhide absolutely everywhere.
Chairs, cushions, ottomans, all covered in beautiful cowhide! It reminded me how much I love the warmth and texture cowhide brings to a space.

Cowhide Rugs and Footstools to Add Texture and Warmth
I couldn’t stop thinking how Zulucow’s sumptuous Nguni cowhide rugs and bespoke cowhide footstools are just as dramatic, adding interest and texture to a room.
If you’ve ever thought about adding a unique cowhide piece like this to your home, now’s the time to get the look.

Cowhide Travel Bags for Airport Days and Exploring
For travel days, and exploring Cortina and the beautiful mountain villages of the Dolomites, two Zulucow bags really came into their own: the Cowhide Mini Bag and the Cowhide Sling Bag.
The Mini Bag was my airport go-to. It sat close to my body, held all the important bits (passport, phone, glasses, lip balm!) and felt really secure while still looking fab. I wore it with everything.
And the Sling Bag was my trusty choice for exploring. Light as anything but fits everything you need — and so comfy to wear all day.
So many people stopped me to ask where it was from, too!

Handmade Nguni Cowhide Accessories and Homeware
All bags, belts and cushions are handmade by the Zulu ladies, using genuine Nguni cowhide. (The ottomans are hand-made in the UK by an established upholsterer, with Zulucow’s sustainably-sourced cowhide.)
Each piece is timeless, unique and stitched with care — and each bag or accessory helps support meaningful jobs and independence for the ladies who make them.
