Add texture and warmth to your home, with a sustainably-sourced, Blesbok or Springbok rug. Sink your toes into these gorgeous, velvety-soft rugs; or drape them over chairs, beds or benches for a cosy, hygge, feel. Unlike deer skins; blesbok and springbok rugs do not moult their hair.

Zulucow’s Blesbok and Springbok rugs are a smaller alternative to our Nguni cowhides; ideal for smaller spaces. They are sustainably sourced, by-products of conservation projects. Instead of these pretty hides being discarded, they are sold as rugs. In this way more jobs and incomes are created. Nothing goes to waste in Africa.

Due to the natural and individual nature of each hides, the size, shape and shades of browns from deep walnut to a lighter mocha, may vary.

Blesbok hides: Approx: 130cm long x 90cm wide

Springbok hides: Approx: 110 long x  63cm wide.

Cleaning Instructions.

They are not a hollow fibre (unlike woollen rugs) so they do not absorb fluid/wine or mud dirt. Mop up any liquid with a tea towel. Allow mud to dry and brush off in the direction of the hair.
